The Solution included:
- The creation of a unique identifier or logo for the Ministry.
- That identifier will be used to produce a holographic paper product that will be unique to the ministry.
- The paper quality will be durable enough to withstand the robust environment that it operates in.
- The creation of a unique design using different colour combinations that further made it difficult to reproduce the pass
- The introduction of Holographic technology to create the passes. Holographic film is a very thin material made from the combination of flexible plastic polyester, oriented polypropylene and Nylon on which patterns and/ore even images are micro-emboss. This film was then molded onto paper to create a paper product that is unique to the Ministry and impossible to reproduce without the authorization of the owner. The main advantages of the holographic design were its uniqueness in design, high visibility, its attractiveness and most importantly its difficulty to duplicate or obtain.
- For the 1/2 year maxi taxi renewal a customized tamper resistant holographic sticker was also created.
- The holographic paper were used to produce the Temporary, Permanent and Maxi Taxi Passes.
- A customized security paper was also designed to produce the letter passes. This paper was produced to include a number of unique characteristics, one of which, if it’s copied the word “VOID” will be displayed throughout the copy. In addition embedded on the security paper is a hot foil hologram of the ministry’s unique identifier.
